Preoperative and Postoperative Care Instructions
At Oral Surgery on Merivale in Ottawa, ON, we are dedicated to making the oral surgery experience as comfortable and straightforward as possible for all of our patients. That means giving you comprehensive information about the surgery you will be undergoing and answering any and all of your questions ahead of time. If you will be under sedation for your surgery, these preoperative and postoperative care instructions can give you an idea of what to expect before and after your surgery.
If you are undergoing IV sedation for your surgery, you will need to follow food and drink instructions closely ahead of the surgery.
Local anesthesia surgery is less involved than IV sedation surgery but still requires attention and care after the procedure.
Sedation is commonly used during wisdom teeth extraction. Special care is required for your mouth to heal properly without complications.
